Rules of Procedure

Learn the parliamentary procedure, which consists in points and motions. The rules of procedure at a Model UN, are important for keeping order so that the committee can make progress.


Delegate´s Handbook


You need to bring the handbook every meeting. The delegate´s handbook is conformed by: 
  • Delegate´s handbook IPMUN 2018
  • Standford Handbook
  • Parliamentary Procedure
  • 15-25 extra sheets of paper 


Parts of the debate

Formal debate: It revolves around the speakers list.

Informal debate: It can be a moderated caucus (the chair calls each delegate one by one to give their short speeches) or an unmoderated caucus (delegates can meet with other delegates to discuss ideas)
