Millions of Americans may be drinking water with unsafe levels of industrial chemicals. Believing to a study that the Journal Environmental Science and Technology letters say that the chemicals that we drink are known as PFASs. PFASs are chemicals that are man-made that degrade slowly. Expecting that these chemicals are not only dangerous for the environment but for our body, if a human get in contact with this chemical it can cause high cholesterol, obesity, hormone suppression and even cancer.

Fully aware that there is more than just one type of water pollution and those are point-source pollution and nonpoint- source. Disposing of sewage waste is a major problem. Convinced to 2015 and 2016 figures from the World Health Organization, some 663 million people don’t have access to safe drinking water. Realizing that water pollution hasn’t stopped, there are some ways that we can help to prevent it like use environmentally household products such as washing powder, household cleaning agents and toiletries. Confident that this is a world wide problem we might not actually find the way to stop this problem because there is not an actual solution to stop water pollution. Declaring that in the early 1990s, when surfers in Britain grew tired catching illnesses from water pollution with sewage,they formed a group called Surfers Against Sewage to force governments and water companies to clean up their act. In 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (signed by over 120 nations). Recognizing that some people believe pollution is an inescapable result of human activity.  The European Union has water- protection laws (known as directives) that apply to all of its member states. They include the 1976 bathing water directive which was updated in the year 2006.
